2008-2009 Activities
- Alan Leo, a Brown volunteer, attended CEA to participate in Principal for a Day (PFAD) on October 30th. To learn more about PFAD and how your can participate visit the PFAD website.
- Starting on 1 November 2008 Brown alumni began their Saturday writing workshops to target students identified by their teachers as ones who could most benefit from one-on-one attention. They have a unique way of developing writing skills by focusing on topics such as newpaper headlines and travel writing. Alumni will work with students from 10AM to noon on the following dates:

- 10 January 2009
- 7 February 2009
- 7 March 2009
- 28 March 2009
- 2 May 2009
2007-2008 Activities
- On 20 October 2007 Brown alumni began a new biweekly Saturday tutoring program that will target students identified by their teachers as those who could most benefit from one-on-one attention. Alumni will tutor students from 10AM to noon on every other Saturday.
- The Brown group is planning to mentor 8th graders at Columbia and help them to prepare for the transition to high school.
2006-2007 Activities
- Brown alumni held their first activity at Columbia Explorers Academy on March 29, 2007 when 10 volunteers helped out with Family Reading Night.
- Two doctors who attended Brown spoke at a Career Day on April 26, 2007.
- Volunteers participated in Columbia's International Night in May 2007.
