"It is important to engage as much of the alumni club as possible. We tried to have a diversity of programs so that we could more closely meet the needs of our partner schools as well as fit with the schedules and interests of our alumni participants."

-- Ogan Gurel, Columbia Club of Chicago

Recreating a Library
During Iowa University's spring break, 12 current Iowa students came to Chalmers to fix up the school's library. These students recreated Chalmers' library, bringing it from dusty shelves and boxes to a beautiful, user-friendly center. The Iowa students also spent time with Chalmers students and answered their questions about college life.

Help Support APS

Contributing Financially

APS could not be around without the gracious support of its donors. Whether you are looking to support APS as a group, an individual, or a foundation, we greatly appreciate your consideration and hope you reach out to us anytime.

Online Donations

Our "Donate Now" button is meant to make it easy for those who would like to donate to APS. Individual donors can use this and feel confident their donation is coming to APS safely. Groups raising money through fundraising events can send their contributors to our site to use the "Donate Now" button. This gives you a safe, easy way to manage any fundraising donations.

Cash or Check Donations

If you'd prefer to send in cash or a check, we welcome that as well. You will still receive a form recognizing your contribution as tax-deductible that will come from our fiscal agent the Children First Fund. If you would like to write a check, please make it payable to the "Children First Fund" and send it to the following address:

Volunteering Your Time

The best way you can get involved is by joining a partnership with a CPS school or starting your own! Our volunteers make invaluable efforts to reach out to CPS schools and students. The great success of our partnerships has created more and more CPS schools requesting our help. Come make a differnce in the lives of CPS students and join a growing network of volunteers dedicated to helping youth education. Take a look at our "Getting Started" page to learn how to get a partnership going. Also fill out the Alumni Survey so we know you are interested and how you'd like to help the schools.

Would like to give your time to APS in other ways? . We are always thrilled to hear from you!
