Past Activities
- Two alumni met with teachers, toured classrooms and spoke to 6-8th grade students about college as
Principals for a Day on 2 November 2006. Read the Miami Club's
report on Principal for a Day.
- Organized a before-school tutoring program (7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.) each Tuesday where volunteers are paired with a teacher and classroom
and help students one-on-one and in small groups. About 30-40 students came for the morning tutoring session. The first before-school
tutoring session was held on Valentines Day, 14 February 2006.
- Three Miami alumni judged the Trumbull History Fair in February 2006
- Provided guest speakers for Career Fair in March 2006
