Teacher Support
Here are suggestions on how to support your partner school's teachers and staff:
- Sponsor a teacher from your partner school to attend your college or university's summer teaching program.
- Help teachers with classroom setup: repaint classroom, create bulletin boards and decorations at the end of the summer.
- Invite your school's principal or faculty to other alumni club events (e.g. professor lectures).
- Be a computer coach for teachers.
- Sponsor a breakfast or lunch for one of the school's professional development days.
- Help with grant-writing.
- Provide your school's administration with technology planning, program marketing materials and other needs.
- Assist high school guidance counselors with college-related activities, including the application process and financial aid forms.
- Invite your partner school's principal, faculty or counselors to your workplace for exposure to your business or organization.
- Use the Donors Choose website to help fund teachers' proposals at your partner school.
