2008-2009 Activities
Every two months, Illinois alumni participate in Goudy's Reader's Friday. The alumni go into classrooms, grades kindergarten to eighth, and read to the students. The most recent event was during Black History Month where students welcomed conversation about similarities between Obama's life goals and their own.

Provide judges for the history fair
Bring chemists to Goudy's after school Chemistry Club
Bring professionals to come speak about their experiences during a career day
Participate in Goudy's Reader's Friday by bringing in volunteers who can read to students every other month.
Help in Goudy's beautification efforts by finding a suitable place for a garden either on the Goudy rooftop or elsewhere on the school's grounds.
Fundraise for more Smart Boards in classrooms
Bring in U of I musicians to teach students how to play various instruments
