2008-2009 Activities
- Chris Callahan, a U of M alumus, served as Principal for a Day (PFAD) on October 30, 2008. Learn how you can become a PFAD by visiting the PFAD website.
2007-2008 Activities
- May 23, 2008: U of M alumni brought a speaker in to talk to students about academic and non-academic life at the University of Michigan.
- September 2007: Chris Callahan, a member of U of M alumni group and President of APS, assisted the Taft girls' golf team for part of the one-month season and found someone to donate a set of women's golf clubs to the team.
2006-2007 Activities
- Alumni spoke about their careers to classes of students who participate in the AVID Program.
Future Activities:
- Alumni plan to organize a Speakers' Bureau where guest speakers would talk with classes about their careers and how to prepare for college
- Help with after-school clubs, such as rockets, legos/ robotics, commercial photography, drama and visual arts
- Work with special needs students and the youth guidance counselor to help with academic and social skills
